Who’s Up for a Toga Party? The Story Behind the Cult Classic ‘Animal House’

John Landis is Now 69

Fun Fact: After firing the crew’s hairdresser (who wanted extra time off), Landis took the Delta actors to a local barbershop and asked them if they could do early 1960s-style haircuts. He did all of the actors’ haircuts, one after another. Another fun fact: John Landis shaved his heavy beard to appear in the movie as the cafeteria dishwasher who catches Bluto mooching and tries to stop him. The scene was filmed, but Landis eventually cut the scene.
