Hulce played the nerdy character Larry Kroger (a.k.a. Pinto). “It all happened in 10 minutes,” he said of the movie in an interview. “I had very little understanding of filmmaking. I didn’t grow up going to movies.” He spoke of how standing in front of the camera, having the director call his name, have someone throw a bottle at your head and say ‘cut,’ that it was “definitely a run-and-duck experience.”

But he’s best known for his role as Larry “Pinto” Kroger.He did get an Academy Award-nominated role as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in ‘Amadeus.’ He also turned heads in his role as Quasimodo in Disney’s ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame.’
