Root Beer
In addition to partying together on their breaks, the cast also enjoyed going out for a drink together off set. During filming, though, it was a completely different story. In the scenes when you see Jack, Rose, and some other actors chugging beer and dancing, they are actually all drinking root beer! This one should be obvious.

Directors usually want their actors to be sober. I can imagine that the last thing Cameron wanted was a bunch of young drunk actors running around his set. If the cast was allowed to drink, the scenes would come out pretty differently. Although they were allowed to enjoy a drink, they had to be sober while acting. This is pretty understandable. Most people can’t come to work drunk.
