Titanic – Behind the Scenes of the Classic Romantic Movie Based on a True Story

Letter of Complaint

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a famed astrophysicist, best known for his expertise on the knowledge of stars. After the movie came out, he wrote a formal letter of complaint to the director, James Cameron. In the letter, he informed the director that the configuration of the stars was incorrect in the final scene. Something tells me he was the only person that noticed this minute detail.

Tyson took this complaint one step further and spoke to Cameron about this issue in person. I guess he was very passionate about the stars set up in a movie. Cameron eventually gave in to the scientist’s complaints. When the movie was re-released in 2017, the configuration of the stars was changed.
