Two Gangs, One Heist
As they were working out the details, it became clear that the “South West gang” didn’t have enough men to pull off such a large-scale heist. But both Reynolds and Goody were good friends of former boxer-turned-club owner Ronald “Buster” Edwards, who was the leader of the South East gang. So they decided to gang up (yes, pun intended).
Reynolds had many contacts (as popular thieves tend to have) and through them, he got all the train’s details: the schedule, the amount of cash it would be carrying, which car it would be in, and the number of workers on board.
