Angela Lansbury – October 16th, 1925
From her TV show, Murder She Wrote to lending her voice to Mrs. Pots in the 1991 version of Beauty and the Beast; Angela Lansbury remains one of the most beloved actresses of her time. However, before her Hollywood life, Lansbury’s early childhood began escaping from WWII.
Angela and her family were forced to take refuge in the United States by sailing the Duchess of Atholl. Fortunately, they got out of there because the next day their house was bombed. The ship she took also sank after she arrived at the U.S. Talk about luck!
