Andrew McAuley, 2007
This is the last taken photo of Andrew McAuley before he was presumed dead. He was a famous Australian sea kayaker and mountaineer. In February 2007, McAuley attempted to kayak 994 miles across the Tasman Sea unassisted. He had been planning for this trip for the past ten years. He was on the sea for 30 days and somehow disappeared as he got closer to New Zealand.
