This is the last known photo of Iron Chancellor Otto von Bismarck. This photo was taken on July 30, 1898, the same day he died, at his home in Friedrichsruh, near Hamburg. Two photographers, Max Priester, and Willy Wilcke secretly took Bismarck’s photo while he was on his deathbed.

Otto von Bismarck was the first Chancellor of the German Empire. King Wilhelm, I also appointed him as the Minister-President of Prussia in 1862.
