12. Samurai Fighter in Action
Samurai fighters were the warrior class that served the aristocrats and belonged to the medieval times in early-modern Japan. From the 1600s to the late 1800s, they became the highest-ranking military and social class.
This picture captured a Samurai in action in 1860. Since the camera wasn’t invented during the peak of the Samurai, the culture ended up extending late into the 19th century, which is why there are a few captured in black and white.
