Dick and Jane Were Too Boring

One of Seuss’s most famous books is “ The Cat in the Hat ,” and I can’t imagine anyone not knowing of this classic. The book was supposedly written because Dr. Seuss thought the famous ‘Dick and Jane’ books were just simply too boring.

And if children weren’t interested in their reading material, they weren’t exactly going to be compelled to use it repeatedly when trying to learn to read. Thus, “ The Cat in the Hat ” was born. And wow did it make an impact!
