Larry Hagman After the Show
Due to the popularity of his character on ‘Dallas,’ he made five guest appearances on ‘Knots Landing,’ a spinoff show in the early 1980s. Hagman also went on to appear in two ‘Dallas’ TV movies: ‘J.R. Returns’ in 1996 and ‘War of the Ewings’ in 1998.

Hagman reprised his role as J.R. Ewing in a reboot show in 2012, but his stint on the show was short-lived. Hagman, unfortunately, was diagnosed with throat cancer and died a few months after the reboot of the show aired in 2012.
