The Cast Threw Nightly Wild Parties at the Hotel
… After getting beat up by the frat boys on campus.
After the embarrassing incident at the frat party, the cast and crew decided to stick to their side-of-the-highway motel (which was in Eugene, Oregon). And there, they found enough stuff to create their own shenanigans, like finding an old piano in the lobby and pushing it across the parking lot during a rainstorm into Bruce McGill’s room.

And McGill’s room became the party room, which was filled with liquor, music, and “strange smoke” every night. Kevin Bacon later recalled, “The vibe was very much like it was in the movie. The Delta guys certainly didn’t want to hang out with me. I was kind of young and not cool. I definitely felt like an outcast because they had all these amazing parties.”
