It’s clear the James Cameron worked around the clock to make sure this masterpiece came out one of the most iconic movies in Hollywood history. Although he was headstrong, he wasn’t a money-hungry director. Not only did he cut a huge part of his salary while the movie was being made, but he also spent an unknown amount of his own money for behind the scenes tasks.

James Cameron is a smart director, and he knows that if he wants something, he has to do it himself. He was passionate about what he believed in and didn’t back down. It all worked out in his favor. Titanic was produced, written, directed, and edited by James Cameron. He put his heart and soul into it, and the Titanic won the Best Picture Academy Award… along with ten other Oscars.
