No Cuts
One of the main concerns that the executives had with the movie was its length. They were worried that audiences wouldn’t have the patience to sit through a three-hour production. Since they were nervous that it would keep the movie from succeeding, the director was asked to cut the movie shorter.
This made Cameron furious. Not only did he refuse, but he said that if they pressed the issue any further, he would quit the project altogether. He was stubborn, but he turned out to be right. Despite all the doubt surrounding him, Cameron was a smart man. He knew that the titanic would be a success no matter what, and cutting scenes wasn’t really necessary. He proved everyone wrong.
