As we know, the story of Jack and Rose was completely fictional, while the sinking of the Titanic was a real historical tragedy. Since James Cameron liked to throw some elements of the truth into his made-up story, it’s not surprising that Jack Dawson was the name of one of the victims who died on that devastating night.

For years after the movie was released, fans have visited the gravesite leaving presents and flowers. Some crazy fans even leave love letters thinking that they are writing to Leonardo DiCaprio, the handsome actor who portrayed the character.
