Shorty’s Only
There were times on set when the directors needed to get really creative. They wanted to make the engine room appear larger in the movie. How do you think they accomplished this? Simple, they made sure to recruit short stuntmen. The extras weren’t taller than five feet so that all the featured props would also look bigger than they actually were.

The reason for this was to recreate the boat. On the real Titanic, the engines each weighed 720 tons and were 63 feet long. The intention of replicating the original boat is so that audiences can fully grasp how massive the Titanic really was. It definitely not easy to replicate such a gigantic ship, but they pulled it off.
