Time to Search the Attic! These Vintage Toys Are Worth A Lot More Than You Think

PEZ Dispensers

Remember PEZ Dispensers? Of course, you do! PEZ dispensers were everywhere you looked at one point. And one even made its way onto an episode of Seinfeld. And people didn’t just eat little candies from them; they collected them, too. Some PEZ Dispensers are so rare that they’ve sold for thousands. One 1982 edition, called Astronaut B sold for $32,000 on eBay.

There are other collectible dispensers like the Mickey Mouse Soft Head dispenser, the 1955 Santa Claus Head dispenser, and the PEZ gun. It’s funny how something that cost maybe 25 cents is now worth thousands of dollars. Go figure!

PEZ facts: The candy has been around for more than 50 years, and it was originally made in Austria. The Santa Claus dispenser is the most popular of all of them. The name “Pez,” by the way, comes from the German word for peppermint, which is “Pfefferminz.”
