William McKinley was a president who would be a college drop out. McKinley ended up getting an IQ of 130.2, and while he would go back to college and graduate from Albany Law School, he would be a great president.

The downside is he actually would be assassinated just after a few months in office and never really got to develop his presidency to the level he wanted it to reach.
