Herbert Hoover
Herbert Hoover did not become involved in politics until a little bit later in life. He would work in his uncles’ real estate office but also managed to get a degree from Stanford as a mining engineer. The degree would be what got Hoover involved in the political forces with the start of humanitarian work.
