Who Is Going to Be in the Film?
The film is set to come out in theaters in September 2021. David Chase expressed an interest in a prequel to the series in 2017 and said the storyline centers on the 1967 Newark riots and racial tensions that occurred between the Italian-American and African-American communities.

“I was interested in Newark and life in Newark at that time,” Chase explained. “I used to go down there every Saturday night for dinner with my grandparents. But the thing that interested me most was Tony’s boyhood. I was interested in exploring that.” The cast includes Alessandro Nivola (the father of Christopher Moltisanti), Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Corey Stoll and Billy Magnussen. Ray Liotta joined the cast in the later stages of development, as well as Leslie Odom Jr. and Michela De Rossi.
