Believe it or not, the son of Gandolfini had to audition for the role. Even more shocking is the fact that he had never watched an episode of The Sopranos because his dad “didn’t want me to see Tony Soprano — the violence, the angry, the mean.” But, he would go on set with his dad and visit him in his trailer. “I never knew Tony Soprano,” he said. “I only knew my dad.”
