The Battle of Midway in June of 1942 goes down in history as one of the most important naval battles. Why? Because it was a turning point in World War 2, it systematically destroyed the advancing Japanese forces.

In the months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese were winning battles throughout the Asia-Pacific region. And while American spirit was lifted after the success of the Doolittle Raid in April 1942 and the Battle of the Coral Sea in May, the American forces were about to face their greatest naval challenge yet.
