Stuff You Didn’t Know About America’s National Treasure: Mount Rushmore

Mount Rushmore is a famous historical landmark located in the Black Hills of Keystone, South Dakota. The Sculpture is of four United States presidents head’s carved into the sandstone rock that’s been around for years. About 2.5 million tourists visit Mount Rushmore every year, according to the National Park Service. The Presidents chosen to be on the mountain were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Do you know who the fifth face would have been?

The national park features avenue flags on behalf of the fifty states. However, did you know the original location for the monument could have been in Georgia?
