Body Double for Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts looked fantastic in Pretty Woman – young, fresh, and strikingly attractive. She was even able to make some questionable outfits for her character look great on screen. Despite that, for the promotional posters, a body double was used, and Julia’s face was superimposed onto it. We can’t imagine why.

The original picture was of Donna Scoggins’ legs; producers thought it would look better than Julia’s on the promotional posters. And in the movie, some scenes were shot using Shelley Michelle as a body double. We still think there was no need; Julia herself was a fantastic option for all the shots, legs, and all. And like Richard Gere said about her strutting practice, “She was all about the legs.”
