The Hair Mishap
To film the bathtub scene, a whole lot of laundry detergent bottles were used to create the bath bubbles. But it was one bottle too many; Roberts’ hair was bleached to a much lighter shade from all the harsh chemicals in the tub and also having to dip down into the water so many times for the many takes of the scene.

Once the scene was filmed, Julia Roberts had to dye her hair back to the darker shade that it originally was so that there would be no difference in her hair in the rest of the film. Really, all that effort for one scene! Perhaps the producers should have stuck with a regular bubble bath and saved everyone the trouble.
