Richard Gere: In-House Pianist
When the time came for Richard’s character, Edward Lewis, to play the piano at the hotel, it turned out that there was no need to hire a pianist for the scene. Richard Gere turned out to be an incredible pianist, and he played the piano for the hotel scene himself. Talk about talent!

Not only the piano, but Richard was also talented in general when it came to music. He even composed the song for the scene himself! When questioned, he revealed that his musical aptitude came from years of music when he was younger; he even played the trumpet in high school and had a flair for other musical instruments as well. We think he must have saved the director some of his budget with a hidden talent like that.
