Live Long and Prosper
The sign that Spock does for “Live long and prosper” is actually half of what is typically done by the Cohanim Jewish rabbis when they bless the congregation. The gesture forms the letter “Shin,” which represents the name “Shaddai,” in which the meaning is “Almighty” (God).
