Growing Up Gump
‘Forrest Gump’ is a true coming of age film where we get to see Forrest grow up. Watching the kind-hearted child grow up yet continue to be the same good-natured soul is one of the highlights of the film. And the way it was done was superb. His growth in the movie happens in graceful transitions. These transitions were so subtle that you might have missed one detail.

The director, as many directors do, wanted to add a subtle yet meaningful touch to the story’s arc. It’s not meant to be noticed so clearly, but true movie fans might catch it. In the first scene of each one of these transitions, Forrest is seen sporting the same shirt, which is blue with a plaid pattern.
