Haley Thought He Was the Lead
‘Forrest Gump’ was the movie in which we got to meet the talented young star Haley Joel Osment, who was only four years old when the movie was filmed. Of course, when you’re that young, you have no idea what is really going on around you. And when Tom Hanks received his AFI Lifetime Achievement Award, Osment admitted that he had thought that he was actually the lead role and not Hanks. How cute is that?

Osment played the role of Forrest Gump Jr. in the movie, and it took him a while to realize that he wasn’t Forrest Gump himself. The movie really jump-started Osment’s acting career. He landed starring roles in ‘The Sixth Sense’ and ‘Pay It Forward.’
