Superman’s Wedding of the Century

If you think that celebrity weddings are all about real people, well we have a favorite wedding of the century that happened in a comic book. Can you guess our celebrity couple? One of the most anticipated weddings in the DC comic universe is the marriage between Superman and Lois Lane. Their wedding took place in the pages of the Superman comics entitled “The Wedding Album,” which happened on December of 1996. Though the number of wedding guests wasn’t mentioned, the fact that many superheroes attended made this remarkable union as one of the celebrity weddings of all time. Imagine for fifty-eight years after Superman met Lois Lane, they finally shared their vows in front of a priest that was drawn to resemble Jerry Siegel, one of Superman’s co-creators. In 2016, DC Comics relaunched its entire comic book line. The new comic line entitled Rebirth featured the continuity of Superman and Lois Lane’s marriage along with their son Jonathan, who is known as Superboy.
