Fashion Iconic Wedding
Audrey Hepburn was all beauty and glamour when she married her first husband Mel Ferrer on September 25, 1954, in Bürgenstock, Switzerland. The two met at a cocktail party hosted by their mutual friend Gregory Peck. Hepburn then suggested to Ferrer that they star together in a play. This fated meeting led them to star in the play entitled “Ondine,” and later on, they started dating. After eight months, they tied the knot. On Hepburn’s wedding day, she was seen wearing a crown of roses and dressed in one of the most iconic wedding gowns ever, designed by Pierre Balmain. They had a son together, but after 14 years of marriage, they got divorced in 1968.
