American actor Leonardo DiCaprio is famous for his starring roles in multiple blockbuster films, but he has become infamous for his long history of not winning an Oscar, despite being nominated several times. This photo was taken in 2014, when he was nominated for the Best Actor award for his performance in The Wolf of Wall Street but lost to Matthew McConaughey.
Taken at the moment the winner was announced, the photo shows DiCaprio’s dismay and disappointment. In 2016, however, DiCaprio broke his unlucky streak by winning Best Actor for his role in the film The Revenant .
