Born in Scotland, Elizabeth McHutchison was born in the year 1800 in Scotland. Back then, everybody called her Eliza. She grew up to marry a ship’s captain named Francis Sinclair with whom she had six children. After she birthed her six child, the family decided to set off on a new journey to New Zealand.
