Transforming a city into a modern metropolis takes much more than just having a good city planner around. Dubai 2000

Leading up to the year 2000, things were slowly changing. In 1999, among other things, they opened the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture headquarters. This non-profit research center focuses on introducing resource-efficient and climate-smart crops as well as figuring out areas that are affected by drought salinity and try to find a solution. This was all part of the beginning of a new era for Dubai.
