Released in 2002, Catch Me If You Can is a crime caper movie that almost seems too crazy to be true. However, it really was based on reality. The crime follows Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of Frank Abagnale Junior, a teenage conman who successfully tricks people into thinking he’s an airline pilot, earning huge amounts of money in the process. Meanwhile, FBI agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) tries to track Frank down. The movie was directed by Steven Spielberg and was a huge commercial success, earning over $350 million and receiving two Academy Award nominations.

You’ll want to stay on dry land for the next one…
