It’s almost time for the Oscars, folks. The 92nd Academy Awards is going to air on February 10, 2020, and like always, it’s going to be the talk of the town (Hollywood, specifically) for a while. So I think it’s an opportune time to shine a spotlight on some Oscar history. The Oscars have been around for 92 years! Since its debut, the prestigious Academy Awards turned out to be Hollywood’s biggest and most memorable nights.

Not only do fans have a lot to look forward to each year, but the actors and actresses get jittery themselves, knowing every single person in the country and abroad is going to be staring at them from their home screens. Aside from the red carpet razzle-dazzle, the ceremony itself never disappoints. Over the years, we’ve stared in awe at everything from a streaker running across the stage to some pretty cringe-worthy musical performances and even some winners refusing their awards!
These are the most scandalous moments in the history of the Oscars, both eyebrow-raising and jaw-dropping moments alike. And since the 2019 Oscars wasn’t a train wreck nor a triumph, we’re going to start with 2018.
