While a quick Google search would tell you that there are only four adaptations of A Star Is Born, there are technically five. A Star Is Born originated in 1937, starring Janet Gaynor and Frederic March. It was then remade in 1954, 1976, and 2018, but there was also one lesser-known version.

The 2013 Bollywood film, Aashiqui 2, was also modeled after A Star Is Born. Although most people are unaware that this version exists, it became a huge success and established Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor as commercial lead actors. Like the Hollywood adaptations, the music became a nationwide craze.
