I think we could all use some comic relief right about now, would you agree? Well, if you love good ol’ 80s comedies, then you definitely loved watching the 1980’s ‘Airplane!’ So, if you’re in the mood to head back to the world of disaster-movie parodies for just a moment – and escape the chaos that is happening outside our homes – then join me in celebrating the 40th anniversary of ‘Airplane!’
Jim Abrahams and brothers David and Jerry Zucker wrote and directed the film, which was intended to be a parody of all the disaster movies that graced the movie theaters throughout the 70s. Happy 40th anniversary, Airplane! Here are some facts that will surely make you laugh. And yes, I’ll stop calling you Shirley.
