Not Everyone Was Happy on Set

Robert Reed didn’t have a good time on set, and he mentioned it multiple times. He believed that the TV show would be a serious one about the modern American family and had a lot of contempt for the way his character Mike Brady was shaped instead. Even though he felt that way, Reed decided to go on for the sake of the kids, so he didn’t quit his job throughout the five series of the TV show.
