Elevators are found in any chic apartment building, malls, airports and business centers. They obviously need to run smoothly and safely as hundreds of people can use them in just one day. People who install and repair elevators need to make sure they work well and are safe.

This kind of job requires an apprenticeship – you really need to know what you are doing for the safety of others. Around 35 states require workers to hold a license. If you don’t have a degree this is a good job to go for as it pays around $115,880 annually.
