Alternative energy today is one of the most critical issues of modern times. One of the most common alternative energy sources in existence today is solar energy. Solar energy is the harnessing of the sun’s light rays and the conversion of that light into convertible energy. The need for such an energy actually had nothing to do with the environment.

The very first solar panels were invented by NASA with the mission of powering space ships, satellites, and space stations without having to use tons and tons of very flammable fuel.
