He Won a Pulitzer Prize
In 1984, Dr. Seuss was given the Pulitzer Prize for his well-established body of work. He won the award for “his special contribution over nearly half a century to the education and enjoyment of America’s children and their parents.”
In addition to the esteemed prize, Seuss also has a star on the Walk of Fame. Among the movie stars and TV personalities on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, there lies Dr. Seuss’s name. The star was awarded posthumously in 2004 and is located at 6600 Hollywood Blvd.
