Too Cool to Leave School
Mirisch pursued Farrah for about two years while she was in college. After he saw some of her stuff and how stunning she was, he encouraged her to move to Los Angeles. Most of us would jump at the opportunity to become a star, but not Farrah. She didn’t pick up and leave so easily.

She was a student and extremely devoted to her studies, so initially, she turned down his offer. It wasn’t until 1968 that she finally took him up on it. Her parents gave her their blessing to follow her dreams and “try her luck” at stardom. At the time, they probably didn’t realize how big of a star their daughter would become.
